The professional user-friendly design of the Cisco 7962G IP system Phone makes use of advanced features. It boasts a sizable LCD graphic display with access to settings and functionality as well as detailed call information.
- With the Cisco 7962G IP System Phone, Wideband audio technology is enabled in both speakerphone and handset modes, enabling calls to be made with higher clarity. Additionally, an Ethernet switch and a headset jack are built in.

- Double byte characters are supported on the large, pixel-based LCD display that shows information such the date and time, calling party name, number, and dialled digits.
- 6 line- and feature-programmable keys
- To help users navigate call features and functions, there are 4 dynamic soft keys.
- Integrated headset jack and excellent speakerphone with mute
- a two-port internal Cisco Ethernet switch
- Direct voicemail access is provided by the Messages key.
- 802.3af Power over Ethernet, Cisco Inline Power-capable blades and boxes, an optional PoE injector, or an optional local 48VDC power supply are all acceptable power sources.
- SCCP is already installed for Cisco users.
